I think having a like button is a good idea.. sometimes when you like a comment someones made but don't really have much to say about it, it would be nice just to 'like' it.

I doubt you can get a like button on this forum, I haven't seen one on any other forum that I've been on either as far as I recall. I have seen a 'thanks' button.
