always tricky to sex them when they are young, you never know it could all change.....
ask Kelly, she'll tell you!

At the end of the day if this is a small tort then it could change virtually overnight ;)

Ask me, too! I went 8.5 years thinking Beasley was a boy. Adjusting is hard, but I'm doing it!

hi i think you can hazard a guess at between 5 and 51/2 inches but even then its not an exact science these photos are adults from my own collection and sexually mature as you can see your tortoise has a long way to grow.

hi Sue i think the tortoise you mean is the ivory coloured male he is very distinctive and i got him from shirley he has taken a long time to settle in and only since we have moved to larger premises has he started to grow at all he likes to graze only the last year has he eaten off a tray i have to get him out even in the winter when its really cold .Dazza as you say we dont see much mateing thank goodness although the theee cb males are so active and have started to grow again they love the new setup one of the wc girls was very small so i thought they could cope with her but she has grown so fast she has nearly caught the big girl in size .Piglet i dont encourage breeding because i hatched a clutch of leopard eggs from my big girl she may have mated in the wild and i have sold /rehomed some i do have room for what i have left although it may upset the sex ratio .i would consider breeding them when the males are bigger but only if there is enough interest and if i can gat on a reccommended breeders list so i will have a better chance of rehoming them. until that time i continue to breed my tgg and hermans .
