Hi everyone the time has come for a new competition :D
The competition will run for 2 weeks closeing date 14th April 2007...
You will need to post a picture of the weirdest/fun tortoise item you find /have ..
1 entry per person prizes to follow ..

Hi Lisa,

I can't believe it! I think I have the same one. Does he sing "Slow down, you move too fast"? If he is the same then you're right - he needs to be seen in action to fully appreciate!

My tortoise is made of either stone or resin hes very heavy, not very big and has an engraving of a rhino on both sides and a flower on his back I got him at a car boot and think he may be african, sorry about picture quality my camera,s not very good at close ups.

LOL! That was your snap, Lisa (it was included in your quote in my reply). I can't believe there are two of these about <g>. I got mine in an Oxfam shop and took him on the TF outing last year - where he was a great hit. I'm bringing him again this year and we're going to have a competition to give him a name, with the proceeds going to charity. I love the way his head comes out and up when he starts to sing and then tucks back in when he's finished.

Well, I have to confess. Most of you think I only have Boris (the horsfield), and Zorba (the little Ibera who went missing last year. But actually, I keep a whole range of exotic species and have taken a photo of them to enter in the competition (I know it's bad to mix species, but each of these were quarantined and have only been displayed together for the purposes of this photograph). Lisa - the singing, dancing one is on the left in the photo.

Nina he is a lot nicer than my guy who was miss treated before I rehomed him so he is in a bit of a sorry state.

If I get time later I will gather up my collection of other torts for a group photo

Ok here's mine she's my garden tortoises she can stay out all year round and doesn't need uv or basking lamps or food I would highly recommend this breed to anyone :lol:

This is the tackiest thing I own LOL. It does however make me laugh a bit. Basically its a welcome 'rock' with a tortoise sat by a white globe, but in the dark its very different. I had to show it as a video for you to fully appreciate it, sorry about that hope its allowed, but it didnt work as a picture in the dark :cry:
