Can you possibly downsize the pics as they are taking ages to download the bigger version. From what I can see the margies appear to be male but it also depends on their age and size. What size are they? What is teh bottom one - that is a weird plastron?

Aha - know nowt about Redfoots Dan. Is the plastron unusual or is that a common feature of them, just wondering?

When taking pictures close up you need to put your camera into macro mode (flower) on the camera dial, this will help focus up on the close up area.

A clear picture would give a better idea for identification.

Hi Polo, persevere with it you will get there in the end.

Mine has a little squre in the middle which you position on the subject to be focused, then you press the button half way to focus then when in focus it bleeps and the square gets smaller now its ready to press the button fully.

Hope this helps.
