Good weekend

Spent today putting the tank together, we're pleased with the result and can't wait untill we can put some fish in there, I might buy some plastic ones in the meantime, the other picture is of my turtles the big one on top of the smaller trying to get closer to the light, poor little girl she must have been squashed.

great turtle and the fish tank looks great. i would ahve added abit more gravel in there myself as it helps strength the bottom of the glass. do you ahve a undertank filter in there. either way i bet it would look brillant with fish in.

When we were filling it god did we look for leaks, thats a lot of water in there, had to put a fork on the end of a bamboo stick to reach the bottom to put the plants in, the moss balls are so sweet all soft and fluffy I found myself talking to them, ( sad ) and they were only £2. for 5 from ebay and I got 50 plants for £10 so not spent much, its a bit overwhelming in the room and frightened the life out of the birds but they'll get used to it, its going to take ages to warm up,

Christian, thanks it took 2 big bags of gravel to put that layer in and its about 2 inches deep, pictures a bit deceiving, but everything's working ok at the moment so fingers crossed.
